Main Sail was selected to be the Managed Service Provider (MSP) for an electronic manufacturing company to manage the entire contingent labor process from acquisition through invoicing and payment. Main Sail delivered a complete VMS solution at no cost to the client:

  • Provide a VMS tool and helpdesk to manage and track the entire process
  • Provide manager and vendor trainings, support, and training documentation for use of the VMS tool
  • Provide job posting templates and an automated workflow to streamline the hiring process, reducing the time it takes to fill open positions
  • Reduce client cost through competitive bidding between vendors for the sourcing of candidates
  • Facilitate communications between client and vendors, provide candidate feedback, and schedule interviews
  • Provide a time tracking and financial project reporting system to support project manager objectives
  • Provide a consolidated payment process to minimize administrative workload, including automated invoicing
  • Provide full visibility to payment tracking and invoicing for managers and vendors
  • Create weekly spend reports by project for each department
  • Track quarterly spend per vendor in alignment with contractual spend discounts
  • Use customized reporting to track vendor performance metrics
  • Maintain a database of all former consultants, including termination reason
  • Maintain tier 2 vendor list, manage communications with all interested vendors, and provide recommendations for changes and updates to the vendor list
